This "tool box on a dongle" is my number one pick for repair, backup, and/or installation jobs. No version has ever given any problem that Pactrick hasn't quickly fixed after notice and the couple of things I do remember from very old versions were minor.
It makes a great little mini-OS, too!

great rescue cd for the toolbox and a fast, easy, clean and useful as a light weight simple live cd.

It fails to load. My machine is a Dell gx280. Since the 4.4 it matches very well.

This distro is just great. It has so many tools to recover your data or to make/resize your partitions easely. For a Windows rescue: You can resize any partition without loosing data, make a new partition at the end of the disk and use the file manager to copy important data to the new partition. Then you can reinstall your OS and recover the data from the new disk. That's just an example, but there are many other recovering and repairing tasks that can be done eather booting from CD (and mini CD) or USB flash. Less than 100 Mb in size.

Still some booting issues in certain machines, mainly with the USB flash version. It's very common in all Parted Magic versions. But you can't make a "review" based on one or two system tests when talking about this tool.

This nifty little program saved my bacon, big time! when a partitioning effort with a commercial program - NOT this FREE program - went awry. The $40 program told me, pretty much, hey something went wrong, you're screwed if you don't have a backup. Lovely. So I went looking for something to rebuild the partition table, found Parted Magic, and before long my partition was restored and I could access Windows again. This was accomplished using TestDisk, which is a part of PartedMagic. Only thing left was to undo the zillions of disk errors the crash had left behind. This program has an interface that's like looking at HDTV - it's easy on my old eyes :) Plan to try using it to partition, which is its main function, in the near future. Many thanks to Patrick Verner, the author! I made a donation, which is only right, and hope everyone who finds this program useful will, too. Saved me MANY hours of work!

Kernel panic on every clicked option. GUI or no GUI, it fails to load every time, even in fail safe mode. This version is crap, unlike version 2.2 that works like a dream. Tested in virtual box too, with same results. Shame, this was nice set of tools in previous version, hope this will be fixed in next release.

This tool is very useful for Linux partition resizeing without loss of data!
