For Happy_tux: Most of the themes change for applications that requires root access, like Synaptic. You can fix this if you install the theme as root also. You can do it like this:

1. Open a terminal and type:

sudo gnome-appearance-properties

2. Install the theme and close the window.

Try and open Synaptic now! :)

Plus: This is the nicest theme on linux. Murrine Wise should be ubuntu's default theme. Pure pleasure :-)

Minus: Im not sure if the theme is fully complete. For example, when I go to synaptic package manager, the theme is gone and a ugly default is there.
