yes, Kowari, it is unfortunate that this distro has such a "bug", because from the one day use of it, I was very impress, especially with the speed. There are few Linux versions out there that works as professed by developers and users. Unfortunately, whichever team works on each, seem to be in a hurry to get their version out. And, even over a course of a year, alot seem to have the same problem faced by the previous versions.

The big Distro such as Mandriva, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian and OpenSuse, has solved most of the "bugs", but are faced with bloating, as they go "Plasma" and adds more multi-media features, which sucks alot of RAM and Video memory. Teams who Fork, re-designa, and re-issue their own versions slice out the bloating, but doesnt seem to have answers for "bugs" that contribute to less user-friendliness of their unique offering, such as PearOS, CrunchBang, Selix, Manjaro, Mex, 4M, Kororaa, Sabayon, etc.

My hope is MEX read's the many feedbacks from users and make the necessary changes quickly

@Tony - I found much the same or similar problems, that's why I don't bother with the "exes" any more......

MeX is a great new alternative from the usual Unbuntu offerings. It is easy to install and boots fast. The big problem I had, and why I decided not to go with it, is that there seem to be a bug with regards to the USER PROFILE. It asked for a user name and password during installation (which I did), but, after installation and booting to desktop, it asked for user name and password to login in. I tried, but it rejected what i input during the install. It just allow an option as "Live" user without password. On login, I tried to change USER under Profiles, but it doesn't allow changes when you press apply. It gives an error message! Oh well, perhaps I shall try to install another time, but for now I will test another distro.
