This is a joke.

If you are offering a download, that is what you should provide, not an anorak's dream.

The 'Free Download Manger' keeps saying the files are missing.

Suse and Ubuntu just ask you where you want the files to be downloaded to and then DOES just that.

This new squeeze release is great, just finished my clean custom install everything working like it should.

Only one small problem was a missing firmware e100 d102e-ucode.bin warning when booting up,
If anyone else is getting this, To fix the problem just open root terminal and run,>

( aptitude install firmware-linux-nonfree)

Keep up the great work this is the best linux, been using it since woody and love it...

Using it after a long time usage of ubuntu. Liked it really (6.01)
I prefer this because:

kernel version: give more battery life than the later version of kernel, same is true for ubuntu 9.10 as well. Really useful if you have a laptop.

Graphics driver: Good support for my newer intel hd graphics.

Fast: If you find ubuntu slow , try this, I am happy with its speed, not zippy as LXDE but fast enough with all functionality.

A Promising Distro but not quite ready!.

1. It didn\\\'t recognize my DSL Modem automatically ok no big deal but it also failed when I tried to configure it manually so no internet access period tho my wifi card did work automatically and for the \\\'First Time\\\' in debian so they got THAT part of it right.

2.Softpedias download is buggy so you should check your/ mirrors or servers etc.

Yes I did get the download but I had to go to the debian main site to get it.

To be honest its better and I think I\\\'m fair in saying not ready yet but its coming along.

It probably needs another year or two to get all the bugs out but it least it didn\\\'t jam and lock up my computer like debian 5 did!!!.

Myself I\\\'ll go back to Ubuntu 9.4 granted its not perfect but its \\\'READY\\\' now!.

It just needs more work!.

Debian is a buggy mess

it is a a vry good os and i like it

The Father of most linux distros out there today and very customisable, to sum it up in one word ( BEST ).

it is good for all the user to take the test.
