#1 START with KNOPPIX testdvd at boot option line.

Many people are sharing a bad dvd image. If the testdvd fails on pdf books you need to get the full version.

You get a correct torrent and use your .iso image after you rename the image. It fixes (can fix) the missing chunks.

There are a few bugs and is in German. Use lang=us at boot and use kontrol center in kde for sprachen.

5.3.1 may be out to normal download. Debian mail list has maybe 7 bugs noted by the Author himself.

Sorry I don't have the 29 days it takes for the torrent to download, if your serious about getting your liveCD out to the masses, you need to re-think your download methods. With todays broadband capabilities, DVD's can be downloaded in a fraction of the time it takes torrent files to download. I have downloaded a lot of ISO files and I have yet to have a torrent file come anywhere close to the speed of a regular broadband download.

Knoppix tends to be great, but it also is withheld for excessive over dramatic and over controlled effect. It would be nice if it was actually available!

I've got a couple of SUSE 10.2 boxes that are great for permanent installations but the KNOPPIX disk has been fantastic for temporary work. I was amazed at how packed with applications and tools the DVD version is!

I'm more familiar with KDE/SUSE so the KNOPPIX/Gnome tools take a little getting used to - but certainly all works perfectly.

Great for experimenting with Linux or various apps, great for doing "Linux stuff" on a borrowed Windows machine, great for booting on a machine that needs recovery help or that can serve as a recovery "host" while working on a failed disk (this was how I started using this).

Excelent Linux!!!! I downloaded at least 5 distributions of Linux!!! And this are the better!!! :D But i have a problem when i install them, everything looks like be a ¨user¨ not a ¨ root¨ :( He say ¨Kde su error¨ And they don´t let me enter like a root!!! :( So i can´t change anything!!!! :) But take that!!! IT´s a awesome distribution of Linux!!! :)

awesome if windows won't load because of corrupted files. boots and runs from cd or dvd learn a different operating system besides windows save unbacked up files from a deteriorating hard drive. something different.
