Wow. This is a great distro. Nice, lean configuration. Clean graphics and layout. Phenomenal package manager (Adept). Current packages. Great community support by actually reasonably nice people (abandoned Mepis because of the jerks in their forums). I don't know if its the best distro out there, but it sure is one of them.

If there's a chink in the armor its the installation. Linux in general lags in hardware support. Kubuntu/Ubuntu is no exception. If you have the latest and greatest rig in town, you'll likely be in for some amount of manual tweaking to get it going or get it going right.
