What's new in Plumi 4.5

  • This is a stable production-ready release, including big improvements in the UI and the backend.
  • Major changes in 4.5 centered around creation of a new Plumi skin using Diazo, replacing gunicorn with uwsgi, implementation of the Amara subtitling engine, and adding a video upload progress bar. Other improvements include: removing views/downloads from iframe for embedding, an update to the latest mediaelement.js, fixing of fullscreen playback, numerous improvements to the new Plumi skin, a re-ordered user menu, removal of the callouts folder, and improved video upload stability.

New in Plumi 4.3.1 (Apr 25, 2012)

  • This release focused on minor improvements to the user interface including tweaking the mediaelement.js HTML5 video player and Universal Subtitles integration, using the favicon as a logo / link back to the Plumi site when embedded, use of standard video listings template for language look ups, making FTP uploads added in private state by default, changes to piwik settings for video play/download statistics, making logos appear correctly in Creative Commons license chooser, changing link to author page not member page for username links in various templates, making callouts private to remove from interface and adding Universal Subtitles to the featured video on the front page.

New in Plumi 0.2.3 (Jan 20, 2009)

  • ATVideo product bugfixes, including fixing the CallOuts content type.
  • Improvements were made for integrating with other Plone 3rd party products, RSS2 feeds on events, and news smart folders.
  • Indytube, the video transcoding engine, was upgraded to work with Flowplayer 2.2.4.
  • A 'same name - different file extension' bug was fixed.
  • More video file types are transcoded by default, including FLV and DIVX.
  • Bugs with event subscribers were fixed in PlumiSkin, so automatically generated emails are sent correctly upon review and publishing of content.

New in Plumi 0.2.2 (Nov 12, 2008)

  • A Flash player is now available on the front page as part of the "feature videos" section.
  • The thumbnail submitted with the video now overlays the flash player as the splash image.
  • An animated progress bar indicates a video is uploading on step 3 of the submission form.
  • The progress bar is merely an animated GIF at this point and does not communicate with the server.
  • Transmission metadata standard draft 1.0 is now ready, providing the appropriate atom feed.
