  • GNOME Classic as the default desktop. Due to customer demand we enabled GNOME Classic by default because of customer demand, as well as to increase familiarity with those used to using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux and CentOS. It also helps to improve performance for terminal service users.
  • For those wanting a more traditional desktop interface we provide the XFCE user interface as an integration desktop. This has the latest XFCE user interface and is the full XFCE interface. It has not been cut down and is selectable from the login screen.
  • Linux kernel 3.16 is the default kernel upon boot
  • Signed Linux kernels are provided for use on UEFI/Secureboot enabled systems.
