What's new in OProfile 1.1.0
Aug 1, 2015
- Support for several new processor models has been added in this release. Also, operf can now use /proc/kallsyms for correlating kernel samples to their corresponding symbols (i.e., functions). This release contains many other minor enhnacements and bug fixes as well, but a major change to be aware of is the removal of the legacy opcontrol-based profiler. The legacy profiling tool has been deprecated since release 0.9.8 when operf was first introduced.
