  • This version brings a new chapter that concludes the main storyline, including a new area with new enemies to explore.
  • It's now also possible to craft special items from collected resources.
  • The inventory and its UI have been improved Finally, everything is presented with a new artwork style, including graphical intro and ending sequences.

New in LambdaRogue 1.5.3 (Jun 12, 2010)

  • Switch between offensive and defensive tactics! In defense mode, you suffer only half of the normal damage, but you also inflict only half of the normal damage - decide wisely which tactics to choose!
  • Explore new item combinations and throwing effects (potions, esp.)! Beware of earthquakes!
  • Enjoy the visually improved field of view (FoV) and new character graphics that fit your chosen profession and your sex - no more female enchanters that look like male soldiers
  • Face NPCs and gods directly, with the newly introduced character portraits!
  • Use your mouse to get tooltips and to select icons from the quickbar!

New in LambdaRogue 1.5 (Aug 21, 2009)

  • graphical mode now in 800x600, 1024x768 and optimized for netbooks
  • resolution changes, window / fullscreen and tileset selection do not require a restart any more
  • improved interface with configurable quickbar and new minimap
  • lots of bug fixes, including the bug that caused LambdaRogue 1.4 to crash after ~ 3 hours. LambdaRogue 1.5 does not consume all your memory any more
  • lots of new quests, incl. the "Heart of Aphrodite" questline, esp. for Aphrodite-characters
  • a new, separate, dungeon
  • many new items, incl. (finally) shields and boots
  • dozens of balancing tweaks; among them is the reduction of dungeon level size to speed up gameplay

  • rare items, unique items and potions (except the ones you have bought already in a shop) have to be identified
  • 2 new monster abilities: "heal" and "weaken"
  • new graphical tiles for several monsters in graphical big tile mode
  • in graphical mode, a health bar is shown above attacked monsters, indicating remaining HP
  • in ASCII mode, the color of monsters indicates their health
