  • GNOME-Colors now allows for creating custom color icon sets from the source package. This means GNOME-Colors now has infinite possible color variations, feel free to read the documentation and make your own in minutes!

  • Redesign old HAL-9000 Hibernate icon.
  • Make suspend icons consistent with new media-actions coloring.
  • Redesign some tons of action icons with better and smoother gradients.
  • Add RapidSVN icons.
  • Minor cosmetic fixes to many icons.
  • Move project to SVN, include makefiles and update documentation.
  • Use new common library to reduce file size by as much as 4 times! Users are encouraged to read documentation before installation, as the new gnome-colors-common folder is a required dependency for all icon sets.

  • New phone icons.
  • New wireless icons - simpler and not as nice, but more intuitive and informative at any size.
  • Redo all spherical icons with better radial gradients.
  • Add more app and mimetype syslinks.

New in GNOME-colors 4.3 (Jun 25, 2009)

  • Redraw entire Human icon set with a subtler, less vibrant palette (easier on the eyes).
  • Minor fixes and redrawing of some icons.
  • Remove some old, deprecated stock icons.
  • Remove some evolution icons now that evolution uses the correct ones.
  • Enable drag n' drop installation to Appearance preferences by not repackaging the icon sets inside the download package. It's still recommended to extract the package even after installation, in order to view the README, AUTHORS and COPYING file.

  • Brand new Dust with a better color palette (the short-lived 1-day old previous one is completely dropped, check the comments for a download link if you want to archive or use it).

New in GNOME-colors 3.3 (May 12, 2009)

  • Brand new computer/display and their related icons, based on gnome-icon-theme's one-canvas branch.
  • New music icons from gnome-icon-theme's one-canvas branch.
  • Removed some unnecessary icons, as latest gnome-icon-theme already include these.
  • Fixed positioning on some mimetypes for improved consistency.
  • Fixed some small bugs, found some 22px icons in 24px folder, so fixed those as well.
  • Extras are now available as a separate file, to reduce download sizes and update its files (for example Firefox folders) as they are needed.

New in GNOME-colors 3.0 (Mar 19, 2009)

  • I've added a new icon set. It has a purple color-scheme and it's called GNOME-Noble. It's just as polished and complete as the other sets.
  • The file now weighs 32MB due to the new set, so it's not friendly for slow connections.
  • Uploaded Noble/Purple versions of Shiki-Colors and Arc-Colors to their respective pages. Go download them if you want in on the new purple stuff.
  • Minor fixes.

New in GNOME-colors 2.6 (Mar 16, 2009)

  • New printer icons (modded from erectus icon theme).
  • Full notify-osd compatibility.
  • Other bugfixes.
  • New GNOME-Colors logo, because everyone hates the old one ¯ロ¯
