- Adding evolutionary filters for images. Image filters can be applied to a video (and there are now 64 filters).
- We can now produce photo novel with EKD.
- KD is partially translated into English, Spanish, Dutch and German (for example the software will display properly in English for an English-language user, both in GNU/Linux version and in Windows version).

New in EKD 1.4-5 (Apr 20, 2009)
- The original interface is in french but can also be in English or Spanish, if you
- configure the local system for both languages (for which the interface is in English
- for a large number of nationalities language English, so for Spanish).
- Many changes both in terms of functionality as the ergonomics of the software
- changes that would be too long to describe.
