- This release has numerous fixes (including syntax fixes to the default installation templates with regard to automated networking setup), and also adds batch editing capability to the systems page of the cobbler Web application.

- Numerous install server upgrades. Includes integrated power management options, improved cross-distribution support, PPC and s390 capabilities, physical and virtual image support, and numerous other features.
New in Cobbler 1.2.9 (Nov 15, 2008)
- This release fixes a potential privilege escalation where a user who has been granted access to CobblerWeb can edit a kickstart template through the Web interface (which is a feature of Cobbler Web) and have cobblerd execute Python code on the cobbler server on his behalf as root.
- The fix in question limits the Python modules that a template can import to "time" and "random" via an explicit whitelist.
- A user with access to Cobbler Web can already install arbitrary software on other machines that Cobbler controls, though it may not be assumed he has root access on the Cobbler server.
New in Cobbler 1.2.7 (Oct 15, 2008)
- This is a bugfix release that fixes a load order problem with subprofiles.
- If you are using subprofiles in Cobbler 1.2.6 and experience problems, install this update.
- No other changes are included.
New in Cobbler 1.2.6 (Oct 11, 2008)
- This release contains some miscellaneous bugfixes, including fixes to the "cobbler replicate" feature, which is used to synchronize or clone multiple install servers.
- Koan is also updated at this time.
New in Cobbler 1.2.5 (Sep 27, 2008)
- This release offers continued bugfixes for the 1.2.X branch.
- It includes fixes for dnsmasq management and for various Web interface and CLI features.
- Koan's 1.2.5 release also includes a fix that improves reinstallation usability in non-DHCP-capable environments.
New in Cobbler 1.2.2 (Sep 7, 2008)
- This release fixes some minor issues involving DHCP/DNS management settings and checkbox loading in the UI.
New in Cobbler 1.2.0 (Aug 30, 2008)
- This release adds .2 more, including improved multi-install server replication features, "find" support on the command line, support for image-based virtual machine provisioning, and numerous other items.
- This is essentially a catch-all release closing out a lot of great RFEs for the provisioning server collected over the last several months.
