xkb_view keyboard layout 0.1

xkb_view keyboard layout software is developed to diplay all the characters you can produce with your keyboard. If you use an US Layout you may bfind this tool needlessecause "xkbprint :0.0" allready prints everything you wanna know.

Installation:

The Package "xkb_view.tar.gz" contains source and binary.

Usage:

1.) click on "build table"
2.) save either an plain textfile(utf8) or an html-table.

How it works:

· create and import temporary xkb File with "kbcomp :0.0 -xkb /tmp/currentXKB"
· search and import: keysymdef.h
· build table with unicode-characters instead of keysyms

customize Keyboard layout (on your own risk !)
/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/

This program was tested with:

· X-Version 11.0
· Qt: 3.3.7
· KDE: 3.5.5

· qt3-designer ( qt-version 3.3.7. )
