novagdrv project is a GNU/Linux driver for Novag Chess computers. It includes patches for ChessDB and EBoard.

On ChessDB, it lets you enter your moves to ChessDB in realtime or transfer the whole game when you finish. You may take back, introduce variations, etc.

On EBoard, it allows you to play games on FICS (Free Internet Chess Server) using the chess computer. You may also play against chess engines like gnuchess or crafty.
