VolWheel is a little application which lets you control the system volume.. #Volume control #Amixer interface #Sound control #Volume #Sound #Audio
VolWheel is a little application which lets you control the volume (providing you use ALSA) easily through a tray icon you can scroll on. It is written in Perl/Gtk2. You can configure it quickly through its configuration interface.
Scroll up/down to raise/lower the volume. Left click to launch your favorite mixer. Middle click to toggle mute.
VolWheel can also work as a command line tool to bound with your keyboard's multimedia keys.
VolWheel is an interface to amixer, and thus only works on ALSA systems. It tries to stay lightweight in order to integrate with minimal desktops.
VolWheel is distributed under the GPLv3 license.
Requirements:
· GTK+ version 2.10.x · Perl 5 with its Gtk2 and Gtk2-tray-icon modules · alsa-utils · gnome-icon-theme
