SAM (Servo Actuation Manipulator) is a GTK+ based X windows application for controlling anywhere from 1 to 254(so far) servo motors via a serial port connection, specifically this program was made for the Scott Edwards Electronics Mini SSC II.

This is a fun app that I'm developing to control servo motors. Not much more to say. It is able to record, and replay servo motions.

Installation:

The simplest way to compile this package is:

1. `./configure'
2. `make'
3. `make install'

By default, `make install' installs the package commands under `/usr/local/bin', include files under `/usr/local/include', etc. You can specify an installation prefix other than `/usr/local' by giving `configure' the option `--prefix=PREFIX'.

Usage:

RUN sam... (ex: /usr/local/bin/sam)

IMPORTANT:

To interact with a servo controller connected to the serial port you must do
two things.

1. Have write permission to the device. (ex: chmod 777 /dev/tts/0)
2. Specify the servo and device settings in the GUI under "Settings->Hardward Configuration".
