Ruby GTK Fortune Cookies is a tiny program to nicely display fortune cookies on a GNOME desktop written in Ruby.

A program to display fortune cookies nicely on a GNOME desktop.

It uses Glade via libglade2-ruby for UI and, naturally, fortune for the cookies.

Here are some key features of "Ruby GTK Fortune Cookies":

· Preferences to affect fortune command invocation.
· `About' dialog box.
· Documentation and help.

Requirements:

· GTK+ version 2.8.x
· libglade2-ruby
· fortune

Installation:

Currently installation is done by copying files `gtk-fortune.rb' and `gtk-fortune.glade' to binaries directory where shell could find it for invocation, for example:

$ cp gtk-fortune.* ~/bin

This might change in the future, however, as the appropriate location for .glade file is most probably /usr/share/gtk-fortune/...
