Makagiga For Linux

Makagiga is a freely distributed, portable, multiplatform and open source graphical software designed from the offset as a universal tool for your GNU/Linux operating system, allowing you to manage to-do lists, write notes, etc.

Key features include a to-do manager, notepad application, support for widgets, such as calendar and sticky notes, which can be added on your desktop, as well as a powerful plugin architecture that allows anyone to extend its default functionality, including image viewing, RSS reading, Markup preview, Wiki preview, etc.

Plugins are used to implement various capabilities. It can perform file import and export, backing up of files into a zip file, Internet searching (Google, Wikipedia), and more. Its graphical user interface features custom colors, a tabbed view, as well as labels and comments for each file or folder.

You can use plugins to add a map viewer, support for reading RTF documents, support for previewing mathematical formulas, support for displaying QR barcodes, syntax highlighting, support for searching video files on YouTube, and spell checking functionality.

The software is written entirely in the Java programming language. For user’s convenience, it is available for download as native installers for Debian/Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Fedora compatible operating systems, supporting 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms.

A universal sources archive is also available for download, which allows you to install the software on non-deb/rpm distributions of Linux. However, we strongly recommend you to install Makagiga from the default software repositories of your GNU/Linux distro.
