Kommander Interactive Help dialog uses basic HTML markup and can even be automated to visual writing with just a little work. Here's what it offers:

tree strucuture topics
rich text content
can include images
can be opened to the topic of choice (it could even be made to go to a line)
all topics and headings saved in separate text files for easy editing
creates example files if there are no topics (back up your help files in case this is deleted)
the most innovative feature is the note section which does some tricky things to stay small until you use it, even though it's in a splitter

It has been shown that people retain over twice as much when taking notes, so every help file should have one of these. The note file is a separate text file that is auto generated, so while they could be shared, or sent to developer, they are not automatically included in a copy of help, topics and content.
