GMapTool is a free and graphical application designed especially for users who need a handy tool for merging and/or splitting maps in the Garmin format.

GMapTool is able to merge maps in img format, spli files in img format into maps, mapset, and subfiles of maps, install mapset for use with programs like Mapsource, HomePort, or BaseCamp, edit map properties, modify maps, and correct maps.

GMapTool is a platform-independent application that supports Linux, Mac OS X and Windows operating systems, on both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
