GCstar project is an application for managing your collections. Detailed information on each item can be automatically retrieved from the internet and you can store additional data, such as the location or who you've lent it to. You may also search and filter your collection by many criteria.

GCstar can be used on any operating systems on which gtk2-perl is available. It has primarily been tested on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows.

· New kind of collections: Stamps, Periodicals and Mini vehicles.
· Items can be grouped in picture mode as in detailed mode.
· User filters can be added to toolbar.
· User can choose for each field from which sites information should be fetched and in which order.
· A right-click on the "Fetch information" button displays a menu to change the mode.
· Many improvements in the plugin to import information from a folder.
· New plugins to fetch information from websites.
· Data corruption in collections should not occur anymore.
