What's new in Flashrom 0.9.4:

  • Support for new programmers such as OpenMoko Neo1973/FreeRunner debug board, Olimex ARM-USB-TINY/-H, ARM-USB-OCD/-H, Open Graphics Project development card OGD1, Angelbird Wings PCIe SSD/88SX7042, ITE IT85xx embedded controllers, and Intel NIC with parallel flash was added.
  • Dozens of new flash chips, chipsets, and mainboards were added.
  • Dediprog SF100 and Mac OS X support was improved.
  • Write support on NVIDIA MCP6x/MCP7x is now enabled.

Flashrom - Usage message
flashrom is an open source command-line utility that is mostly used to identify, writie, read, verify, as well as to erase flash ROM chips, such as BIOS, EFI, coreboot, firmware, and optionROM images.

flashrom is engineered in such a way that is supports over 200 flash chips, 130 motherboards, 75 chipsets, 17 devices (USB or PCI), LPC, parallel, SPI and FWH flash interfaces, as well as several chip packages, including DIP32, DIP8, PLCC32, SOIC8/SO8, TSOP40, TSOP32, and TSOP48.
