    Cdrom description

Cdrom is a small CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive controlling utility written in C for GNU/Linux.

cdrom is a small CD-ROM / DVD-ROM drive controlling utility written in C. Currently it supports only ejecting and closing the tray. It automatically umounts (if needed) the drive when using the eject argument, and mounts it when close is called.

Note that cdrom was programmed under Linux 2.4, and has not been tested with newer kernel versions, including the 2.6 branch. If you are still running 2.2 please let me know how you experience with this program is.

Since the /proc filesystem is being used, it might be exposed to changes. If you notice anything like this, please send me the feedback.

    Installation:

    tar zxvf cdrom-version.tar.gz
    cd cdrom-version/
    make
    su -c "make install" (optional)

    What's New in This Release:

    · Fixed warning on compilation
    · Fixed copyright info error
    · Fixed capability bug in get_capability()
