AVR Downloader Uploader is a program for downloading and uploading the on-chip memories of Atmel's AVR microcontrollers.

AVR Downloader/UploaDEr can program the Flash and EEPROM. Where supported by the serial programming protocol, it can program fuse and lock bits.

AVRDUDE also supplies a direct instruction mode, allowing one to issue any programming instruction to the AVR chip regardless of whether AVRDUDE implements that specific feature of a particular chip.

What's New in This Release:

This release includes several significant enhancements, including support for the JTAGICE MkII device.
Support for the STK500 Version 2 protocol, and support for the AT90CAN128, ATmega329x/649x, ATmega164/324/644, AT90PWM2/3, ATmega164/324/644, ATmega329x/649x, and ATtiny25/45/85.
Support for Ponyprog serial, UISP DASA,UISP DASA3 serial bit-bang adapters was also included.
