Vixn is a small and simple text editor designed to combine the benefits of vi and more modern GUI text editors. It's based on gtksourceview and written in python. Thanks to gtksourceview vixn has all the features you'd expect from a programmer's editor, such as syntax highlighting.
Unlike vim, vixn supports multiple GUI windows all sharing the same clipboard and command history etc. It also features "throwback" windows which make it much easier to browse compiler error messages and search results.
