An Open Source, fast, pure C++ text editor for Linux that provides hundreds of functions
TEA is an open source and fast graphical software written in C++ and designed to act as a text editor for programmers. It depends on Qt 4 or Qt 5 and, optionally, on Hunspell or Aspell.
TEA supports the following document formats: Plain Text, OpenDocument Text (ODT), SWX (old OpenOffice.org format), KWord (KWD), AbiWord, Microsoft Office (DOCX), Scribus, RTF, and FB2.
Among some of its features, we can mention small size, built-in MC-like file manager, spellchecker, tabbed layout engine, syntax highlighting, multiply encodings support, in-text labels (markers) support, code snippets and templates support, hotkeys customizations, miscellaneous HTML tools, preview in external browsers, bookmarks, morse code translator, calendar and organizer.
TEA provides syntax highlighting for the following programming languages: C, C++, BASIC, Bash script, C#, D, Java, Fortran, LilyPond, Lua, Lout, NASM, Pascal, NSIS, Perl, PO (gettext), PHP, Python, TeX/LaTeX, Seed7, Vala, XML, Verilog, HTML, XHTML, and Wikitext.
