Kile project is an open source and user friendly graphical software designed as a TeX/LaTeX editor for the KDE Software Compilation environment.

Kile is designed in such a way that it allows users to convert, compile and view their documents with one click, easily insert standard symbols and tags, find sections or chapter very easily, collect documents that are part of a project, easily insert references and citations when using projects.

The application also features auto-completion of (La)TeX commands, templates and wizards, forward and inverse search, smart and flexible build system to easily compile LaTeX documents, QuickPreview functionality, easy access to various help sources, and advanced editing commands.

What's New in This Release:
  • This version adds a completion file for the 'ifplatform' package; 'Save', 'Save As' and 'Save Copy As' entries to the tab context menus; tool tips to structure view entries; and provides Unicode characters for the symbols in the symbol view.
  • There are also a couple of bug fixes and improvements.
