GNU Moe is an open source, command-line and powerful, 8-bit clean, text editor for ASCII and ISO-8859-15 character encodings.

The GNU Moe project has a user-friendly and modeless interface, multiple windows, online help, unlimited undo/redo capability, global replace/search, unlimited line length, block operations, word wrapping, automatic indentation, directory browser and much more.

The project's most frequent commands are used with keyboard shortcuts. For example, the Alt key is used for harmless commands like scrolling and cursor movements, the F1 key displays the online help, the F10 key allows you to change settings, and the Tab key can be used for filename completion, as well as for displaying of hiding the directory browser.
