    lsvpd description

    lsvpd is an utility to List Device Vital Product Data (VPD).

    lsvpd is an utility to List Device Vital Product Data (VPD).

    This utility lists device Vital Product Data (VPD), which includes the following information and more: vendor, version, revision level, serial number. This utility has been tested on ppc64, ppc, and i386 platforms.

    The 1.3.4 release is the first release where libvpd has been split into a separate package from lsvpd. You will need to download and install both packages (libvpd first) for lsvpd to run.

    Requirements:

    · zlib
    · sg3_utils
    · sqlite
    · Linux 2.6
    · librtas (on ppc machines only)
    · libstdc++

    What's New in This Release:

    · Rebuild of 1.6.4, which was mistakenly built 64-bit, but should have been 32-bit. The default for applications on ppc64 is 32-bit.
