VNC-U is a cross platform remote computer management solution. If you are in need of an all in one SSH, VNC, SFTP and more rolled up into one app then here you go.
Also there is a VNC-U Plugins(client) app available also. This client when installed as a service, can allow remote messaging and chatting with the remote computer.
VNC-U makes it easy to manage lists of users so that classes can be built into lists. With a simple user interface and a little administrator support (setting up lists), teachers can be ready to monitor the computers in their room with the simplest of ease.
This program was designed for schools around the United States that are part of a Technology Learning Initiative. VNC-U will monitor any machine with VNC/SSH capabilities. All you have to do is supply the account information.
VNC-U is written in pure Java. This means that this app will run on any machine that has Java Runtime Environment running.
