GBuildSys 1.2

A generic build system for GNU environments
GBuildSys is a generic build system app for GNU environments. It supports independent build configurations (debug, release, etc.) in the same source tree.

The former means that GBuildSys will rebuild just the affected files if the source code has changed between successive builds and the latter means that you can have in the same source tree a build optimized for size, a build optimized for speed, a build with debugging information, and so on.

Usage

GBuildSys is comprised of generic build rules which can be customized and even overridden.  Customizations are done via make variables; they affect which tools will be used in the build process and what arguments will be provided to them.  Overriding is done by first including GBuildSys' main makefile and then defining the overriding rules. This is useful when you want to specify custom build steps for certain object files.
