It can be used in schools and small offices
The distribution is designed from the ground up for use at work, school and home as it contains applications for common daily tasks, such as time management, office tools, as well as media playback utilities.
It’s distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD
You can download it from Softpedia or directly from its official website as a dual-arch and hybrid Live DVD ISO image that supports both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures and can be written to DVD discs or USB thumb drives of 1GB or higher capacity.
Boot menu à la openSUSE Linux
Apparently, the ISO image has been instructed to automatically boot the live system in a few seconds from the moment the user boots it from the BIOS of a PC. Pressing any key will reveal the boot menu, which is similar with the one of openSUSE Linux and allows you to start try the OS without installing it, boot in normal, safe or console mode, as well as to boot from the local drive.
It uses KDE Plasma as the default graphical environment
Before you can access the graphical desktop environment, you must choose a language to use, accept the open source license, select a timezone and keyboard layout, set a root (system administrator) password, as well as to add a user.
KDE Plasma is the default graphical desktop environment of blackPanther OS. It comprises of a transparent taskbar located on the bottom edge of the screen, beautiful artwork, and provides users with a modern, productive and familiar session.
