Ubuntu Netboot For Linux

Welcome to the Lucid Lynx edition of Ubuntu Netboot, a special version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system that can be booted over the network and installed permanently on a local drive or mounting it with a network file system. It has been tailored for users with special needs or experienced system administrators.

The Ubuntu Netboot edition supports a wide range of architectures, among which we can mention 32-bit (i386), 64-bit (amd64), Armel (IMX51), PPC (PowerPC) 32-bit, PPC (PowerPC) 64-bit, and SPARC.

It provides users with a minimal ISO image that can be burned onto a CD disc or USB flash drive in order to boot it from the BIOS of a PC and start the network installation, as an Ubuntu Installer that allows the user to permanently install the distribution on a local disk, as well as an image for the Xen hypervisor.
