TurnKey vTiger Live CD
TurnKey vTiger Live CD is a freely distributed and open source operating system based on the award winning Debian GNU/Linux and designed from the ground up to be used as an appliance for easily and quickly deploying the vTiger CRM software on a dedicated server machine.
What is vTiger CRM?
vTiger CRM is a web-based, platform-independent and open source Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. This TurnKey edition is distributed as Live CD ISO images that contain the Webmin, MySQL, phpMyAdmin and SSH open source technologies.
Distributed as bootable Live CDs and virtual appliances
Users can used the ISO images from USB flash drives of 512MB or bigger, as well as from CD discs. Both 64-bit and 32-bit architectures are supported at this time. The system can be used in demo mode, without installing anything on your computer, or installed directly using the text-mode installer.
In addition to the Live CDs, you can also download ready-to-use virtual machines in the OpenVZ, Xen, OpenStack, OpenNode and OVF formats straight from the project's homepage. Upstream vTiger configurations are installed to /var/www/vtigercrm.
A Postfix email server is included
By default, for security reasons, the system is configured to deny access to the migration and installation interfaces, and accepts any hostname as the website URL. Furthermore, it features secure connections via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
A Postfix email server is also available for sending email messages from web apps, the MySQL server can be easily administer through the phpMyAdmin administration front-end that listens on port 12322 and uses SSL, and several Webmin modules are available for the configuration of Apache, Postfix, MySQL and PHP components.
