TurnKey Zurmo Live CD
TurnKey Zurmo Live CD is an open source distribution of Linux based on the Debian GNU/Linux operating system and designed from the ground up to be used as an appliance for effortlessly deploying the Zurmo CRM software on any machine.
What is Zurmo CRM?
Zurmo CRM is an open source, easy-to-use and easy-to-customize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) web-based application that's social, mobile and gamified. The project is distributed as Live CD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, as well as virtual machines in the OVF, Xen, OpenVZ, OpenStack, and OpenNode formats.
The Live CD features Zurmo configurations installed from upstream source code to /var/www/zurmo, out-of-the-box support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), and phpMyAdmin administration front-end for MySQL using SSL, listening on port 12322.
In addition, it includes the Postfix MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) bound to localhost and designed to allow users to send email messages, as well as Webmin modules for configuring Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Postfix.
Boot options and getting started instructions
From the boot prompt, users will be able to try the live environment without installing anything on their computers (demo mode), as well as to directly install the operating system without testing it (only recommended for expert users).
Before you can use the Live CD, you'll have to set up a password for the root (system administrator) account, as well as for the MySQL 'root' account and for the Zurmo 'admin' account. In addition, you must enter the domain to server Zurmo, initialize hub services, and configure the network interfaces with DHCP or static IP addresses.
Being designed for server machines, the Live CD features no graphical interface. The web-based configuration interface can be access from another computer via a modern web browser, simply by following the instructions provided at the end of the first boot setup screen.
