TurnKey Yii Framework Live CD
TurnKey Yii Framework Live CD is an open source Debian-based operating system that has been designed from the ground up to enable users without prior knowledge of Linux technologies to effortlessly deploy the Yii PHP framework software on server machines.
What is Yii Framework?
Yii Framework is an open source PHP framework designed especially for developing Web 2.0 applications. The TurnKey Yii Framework Live CD offers the perfect method for easily and quickly installing Yii Framework on any server machine.
It is distributed with Yii Framework configurations, support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connections, phpMyAdmin administration front-end for the MySQL server via SSL on port 12322, Postfix mail server bound to localhost for sending email messages, and Webmin modules for configuring Apache, PHP, Postfix, and MySQL.
The Yii Framework configurations are installed to /var/www/yiiframework straight from the upstream source code. In addition, a symbolic link (symlink) to the 'yiic' command is in the path for users' convenience.
Available for download as 32 and 64-bit Live CDs
This TurnKey appliance is available for download as two Live CD ISO images, one for each of the supported hardware platforms, 64-bit (amd64) and 32-bit (i386), as well as virtual machines for Xen, OpenStack, OVF, OpenVZ, and OpenNode.
Getting started with TurnKey Yii Framework Live CD
The default username for the Webmin, MySQL, phpMyAdmin and SSH applications is root. Users can set passwords for the root (system administrator) account, MySQL account, and Gii access during the first boot configuration process.
In addition, you must set an email address for the Yii Framework admin, as well as to initialize the hub services, which are comprised of TurnKey Backup & Migration and TurnKey Domain Management & Dynamic DNS.
Don't forget to write down the IP addresses and ports for accessing the main web interface and shell, the Webmin administation front-end, the phpMyAdmin MySQL administation interface, as well as the SSH and SFTP accounts.
