An SDK designed to help develop for Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2). It bundles libraries which can be used to interface with Amazon's cloud APIs and to develop custom Amazon AMI images, which can then be launched as instances in EC2. Amazon EC2 is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud.
The TurnKey EC2 SDK Live CD appliance includes all the standard features in TurnKey Core, and on top of that:
* EC2SDK related:
- Includes EC2 AMI/API tools and configured environment.
- Includes rightscale libraries (AWS Ruby support).
- Includes boto (AWS Python support).
- Includes ipython for using boto library interactively.
- Includes ntpdate as Amazon require date/time to be in sync.
- Includes Amazon Web Services documentation (convenience).
* SSL support out of the box.
* Includes TurnKey web control panel (convenience).
* All secrets will be regenerated during installation / firstboot (security).
Default credentials:
* Webmin, Webshell, SSH: username root, no password
- user sets password during installation
