specifications

SwitchedON PBX is an open source and modular PBX (Private Branch Exchange) Linux distribution based on the Debian GNU/Linux operating system.

SwitchedON PBX was originally started by Federico Pereira, under the name of DebPBX. Later, he joined a couple of ex-Elastix developers and formed this project.

The operating system contains the FreePBX application, an open source GUI (Graphical User Interface) that controls and manages the powerful Asterisk software.

SwitchedON PBX is distributed as a single Live CD ISO image, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. It can be installed on a local hard disk drive.
