Sage Live CD is a Linux distribution including the free (as in speech and in beer) mathematical package Sage.
Sage is an open source Mathematic software package. Beside some native code based on Python, Sage combines several other open source tools like Numpy, Maxima, R (and many more). The Sage notebook server allows a browser based user interface. The package has many advanced options like direct LaTex export and is well suited to solve mathematic problems, starting at highschool level up to top research level.
With Sage Live CD it is possible to have your Data and Operating System on an USB or Flash Card ready to use on most PC machines - hence it can act as "Swiss Army Knife of Mathematics". The current version of Sage Live CD was based on Sage 4.7.1 and on Puppy Linux 511 Quickset edition.
