Parted Magic is a ~30mb LiveCD/USB with it's only purpose being partitioning hard drives. Although GParted and Parted are the main programs, the CD/USB also offers programs like partimage, testdisk, fdisk, sfdisk, dd, etc...
Parted Magic is based on my work from the GParted LiveCD project and falls under the terms of the GPL.

What's New in This Release:
· Updated to linux-2.6.24.3. Added more drivers too.
· Removed VisParted and put GParted back because the project is alive again. GParted-0.3.7.
· Updated to pcmanfm-0.4.0. This version makes the desktop look much better.
· Fixed the character coding issue in the menu outside of X.
· Updated Xorg to 1.4.0.90.
· Added dmraid-1.0.0.rc14.
· Added wide screen resolutions to the manual Xorg/Xvesa menus.
· Added a scripts directory to the pmodules directory. All user scripts in this directory will be executed at boot.
· "xvesa" is now a kernel command line option that can be entered at the boot prompt.

· All partitions are dynamically created for mounting from the Desktop. I was mounting and launching Thunar from VisParted but the VisParted project isn't going to be used anymore. This is the most visible/user-friendly option. I don't use HAL to do this. BTW.

· Made the pmagic_mkusb script faster by not using lshw. lshw is also locking up on some machines with the 2.6.24.x kernel and causing the script to fail with an Xdialog help screen. All sd* devices are listed so be careful not to run syslinux on a hard drive partition.
