Linux Cigarra is an open source distribution of Linux based on the award winning and highly acclaimed Debian GNU/Linux operating system and built around the old-school GNOME 2.30 (GNOME Classic) desktop environment. It is a distro for Spanish-speaking users and includes support for Wi-Fi ad-hoc networks.

Users can download this custom Debian OS via Softpedia or directly from the project’s official website as a 32-bit Live CD ISO image of approximately 600MB in size. While the distro will run well on either 32-bit (i386) or 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms, it only supports 32-bit applications.

From the beautified boot loader of the ISO image, the user can start the live environment with default boot options or in safe graphics mode using the failsafe option, perform a system memory diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing operating system from the first disk drive.
