Kuine Linux FtpSrv
Kuine Linux FtpSrv is an open source and completely free operating system derived from the award winning and highly acclaimed Debian GNU/Linux distribution and designed to act as a FTP server.
Supports 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms
The FtpSrv edition of Kuine Linux is available for download as Live CD ISO image of approximately 200MB in size, designed to support both 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (amd64) hardware platforms.
The ISO images are hybrid
Both the 32-bit and 64-bit ISO images are hybrid, which means that the user can write them on CD discs or USB flash drives in order to boot them from the BIOS of a computer.
The boot menu is minimal
This edition features a minimal boot menu when compared with other Kuine Linux flavors, as it allows the user to only start the live system with default drivers or in failsafe mode.
The command-line menu supports multiple languages
Currently, Kuine Linux FtpSrv supports both English and Spanish languages. Its command-line menu is a central place for everything you want to do with this single purpose operating system.
You can easily change various useful settings
For example, you will be able to change the server’s hostname, edit network configuration, set email alerts, change the root (system administrator) password, enable persistence mode, as well as to install the distro on a local drive.
In addition, you will be able to check running services, the server’s status, access support options, refresh the command-line menu, as well as to reboot or shutdown the computer.
It features a web-based administrative interface
In addition, a web-based administrative interface is available if you want to configure the FTP server remotely from another computer on the same network using any modern web browser. The username/password combination for the web-based interface is admin/admin.
