Kubuntu Mobile For Linux

As its name suggests, Kubuntu Mobile is an open source mobile operating system derived from the Kubuntu Linux distribution and built around the netbook interface of the KDE Plasma desktop environment.

The distribution is available for download as a Live CD ISO image that contains software packages optimized only for 32-bit architectures. It will also work well on 64-bit netbook computers and can be deployed to CD discs or USB flash drives.

The Live CD boot menu comes with the same options as the official Kubuntu Live CD boot menu, allowing the user to try the operating system without installing it, start the installer directly, check the disk for defects, perform a memory test, as well as to boot an existing OS from the local drive.

As mentioned, the graphical session of Kubuntu Mobile is built around the KDE Plasma netbook interface, providing users with a jaw breaking desktop environment comprised of a hidden dock on the bottom edge of the screen, a small panel located on the upper side of the screen and a clock widget on the desktop.
