Hakin9 Live is an open source and completely free distribution of Linux derived from the Aurox Live operating system and designed from the ground up to be used by members of the Hakin9 community. It is a secure, stable and reliable OS aimed at hackers and IT professionals.

The distribution is available for download as a Live CD

You can download the Hakin9 Live distribution as a Live CD ISO image of approximately 600MB in size, engineered to run on computers supporting the 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x86_64) instruction set architectures.

You can test the RAM or pass extra parameters from the boot prompt

From the Live CD boot menu, the user can perform two different system memory (RAM) diagnostic tests using the Memtest86+ 1.50 or Memtest86 3.2 utilities. Type the “test86p” command and press Enter to run a memory test with Memtest86+ 1.50 or type the “test86” command and press Enter to test the RAM for errors with Memtest86 3.2.

In addition, you can pass extra parameters to the kernel by pressing the F3 key or just press the Enter key on your keyboard to start the live system with the default kernel. Do not hesitate to press the F1 key for a list of boot options.
