Eole is a collaborative, free and open source project based on the philosophy of Software Libre. It is a capable and reliable Linux operating system, designed for educational purposes.

The Eole project uses modules, and each module is a GNU/Linux specific component that makes it easy to install a dedicated server, packed with a consitent set of pre-configured services.

At its roots, Eole is based on the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) operating system created by Canonical. It is distributed as a Alternate ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
