Calculate Linux Scratch Server
Calculate Linux Scratch Server is an open source minimal Linux distribution that contains all the necessary tools for helping users to build their own Linux server operating systems. Similar to the Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) edition of the well known Calculate Linux operating system, this edition is geared towards experienced Linux users who are looking for an easy way to configure, build and install custom Linux operating systems from scratch.
Helps you build a Linux OS from scratch
When building a Linux OS from scratch, users will need the bare minimum of components (drivers, libraries, utilities) aimed to create a custom distribution of Linux. The source code for the Linux kernel package and for the Portage package management software are also included.
Distributed as 64-bit/32-bit Live CDs
It is distributed as Live CD ISO images, supporting the 64-bit and 32-bit architectures, as well as multiple languages, including Russian and English. The boot medium can be copied entirely into RAM (system memory) or used as is, directly from a USB flash drive or CD disc.
A perfect replica of the installation image is provided on the Live CDs, which can be used to boot the operating system that is currently installed on the first disk drive or test the system memory (RAM) for errors.
