Availability, supported architectures, boot options
This Bridge Linux flavor can be downloaded from our website as Live DVD ISO images, one for each of the supported architectures (64-bit/x86_64 and 32-bit/i686), which can be burned onto blank DVD discs or written to USB flash drives of 1GB or higher capacity. From the boot loader, the user can start the live environment with default options or by using the VESA framebuffer and nomodeset options in case the first entry doesn't recognizes some of the hardware components, such as graphics card. In addition, you can test your computer's memory for errors, view detailed information about your computer's hardware components, as well as to shutdown or reboot the machine.

As mentioned, KDE Software Compilation is in charge of the desktop environment of this Bridge Linux edition, providing users with a familiar and modern graphical session that uses a single taskbar located on the bottom edge of the screen, from where the user can access the main menu, launch applications, as well as to cycle between virtual workspaces and interact with running programs.
Default applications include the Chromium web browser, GIMP image editor, Qtransmission BitTorrent client, KMail email client, Kopete instant messenger, Amarok audio player, Dragon Player video player, Dolphin file manager, Konsole terminal emulator, SuperKaramba desktop widgets tool, Kate advanced text editor, as well as many KDE specific utilities.
