Droid Incredible by HTC (Verizon) Kernel Source Code description

The Kernel Source Code for HTC Droid Incredible Android Phone

This package contains the Linux kernel source code for the HTC Droid Incredible (Verizon) Android phone.

    About Droid Incredible

The Droid Incredible (ADR6300) (formerly known only as The HTC Incredible) is a smartphone manufactured by HTC Corporation based on the Android operating system. The "Droid Incredible" was released on April 29, 2010, and is available through Verizon Wireless only.

HTC Corporation has added several features to the Droid Incredible, including an FM tuner, 8 megapixel camera, and dual LED flash. The FM tuner can play over the phone's built-in speaker, but only if headphones are plugged in, since they act as the FM radio antenna.

Software The phone comes equipped with Android 2.1 (also known as Eclair) but will soon be running Android 2.2 (also known as "Froyo") upon its release during the month of July. The phone also runs HTC Sense which is HTC's own operating system layout. HTC Sense may also soon be receiving an update. All updates will be through over the air updates (also known as "OTA").

Hardware Unlike the Nexus One, the Droid Incredible features an optical mouse pointer as opposed to a trackball. The 8 megapixel camera can record video at a resolution of up to 800x480 (WVGA) in addition to capturing still photos. Recorded videos may be compressed in either MP4 or H.263 format.

The Droid Incredible optionally supports tethering by Verizon with VZAccess Manager. Other methods of tethering may be possible. (from Wikipedia)
