    corkscrew description

    Corkscrew is a simple tool to tunnel TCP connections through an HTTP proxy supporting the CONNECT method.

    Corkscrew is a simple tool to tunnel TCP connections through an HTTP proxy supporting the CONNECT method. It reads stdin and writes to stdout during the connection, exactly like netcat.

    Corkscrew has been compiled on :
    HPUX
    Solaris
    FreeBSD
    OpenBSD
    Linux
    Win32 (with Cygwin)

    Corkscrew has been tested with the following HTTP proxies :
    Gauntlet
    CacheFlow
    JunkBuster
    Apache mod_proxy

    What's New in This Release:

    · Added GPL license to distribution.
    · Added support for GNU autoconf and automake.
    · corkscrew now compiles on Solaris with GNU tools.
